The Arena Opens
The time has come! The time to test your skill, to make new friends and, most importantly, to play some ROBA! Tournament season is upon us.
Heel Turn Games is pleased to announce the inaugural events in its organized play calendar for the 2019 / 2020 season. The road to crowning our first world champion starts December 7th with Clash: London and Clash: Philadelphia, and proceeds into the new year with Clash: Cork on January 25th.
Clash tournaments are open sign-up. All you need to participate is a copy of ROBA and a champion’s attitude.
Format
Clash tournaments utilize the draft format with a single ban allocated to each player after first picks. The draft pool for these events includes all twelve published heroes from the Core set and the Welcome to the Arena roster expansion.
Tournaments will use the swiss system in the initial rounds, followed by a cut. Matches played after the cut will use a single elimination bracket. Full floor rules, along with our community standards and anti-harassment policy, will be published in advance of the events
Clash: London
Clash: London will take place in the Dark Sphere Megastore on December 7th.
Entry Fee: £10 on-site / €8 pre-register
Registration: On-site registration opens at 10:00. First round begins at 12:00. Pre-registration available via the Heel Turn Games webstore.

Clash: Philadelphia
Clash: Philadelphia will take place at PAX Unplugged on December 7th.
Entry fee: You must have access to the PAX Unplugged event via an appropriate pass. Other than this there is no entry fee for the event.
Registration: On-site registration opens 9AM at the Tournament HQ. Pre-registration for this event is not available.

Note: There is a hard limit of 32 players for this event.
Clash: Cork
Clash: Cork will take place at Warpcon, University College Cork on January 25th
Entry fee: There is no additional charge to enter this event, but you must also have purchased a pass for the Warpcon convention.
Registration: On-site registration opens at 10:00. First round begins at 12:00. Pre-registration is available via the Heel Turn Games webstore.

To the victor, the spoils
There’s more on the line at Clash tournaments than pride. Exciting prizes await those with the courage to step inside the arena.
In each round of the tournament, players who are still participating will receive a randomized full-bleed hero from the core set or the Welcome to the Arena roster expansion.
Players who qualify for the elimination rounds will receive a Bran playmat and a set of full bleed Deity promos.
For the champion: Immortality. In addition to an exclusive Itotia playmat, Clash Champions may choose a hero from the draft pool for that event. They will work in collaboration with Heel Turn Games to create an alternate-art design for that hero to be published as part of the next season’s event kit. That player will be credited, and their victory commemorated, on the card.
What the Future Holds…
This announcement marks the beginning of our plans for ROBA organized play. Events and community lie at the heart of Heel Turn Games’ mission and we want you to join us in this journey together. You may have noticed that at the beginning of this post I mentioned something about “the road to crowning our first World Champion”. To find out just what I was talking about you’ll have to stay tuned for more news but believe me when I say we have big plans for our events scene and we can’t wait to share them with you.

All Orders Are Now Fulfilled
As of this morning, all Kickstarter orders have now been shipped. If you are based in Ireland, the UK or mainland Europe your Kickstarter rewards are on their way to you. If you haven't received them already you should expect them within another 2-3 working days in Ireland or the UK, or a little longer for mainland Europe - delivery times vary by country.

ROBA at Spiel
Heel Turn Games will be in attendance at the annual Spiel fair in Essen, this coming October 24th - 27th. You, or your friends who missed out on the Kickstarter, will be able to buy the game directly from us. We'll be running demos all week long as well as some cool giveaways so if you were a backer and you're gonna be in attendance please swing by and say hi. We'd love to meet you and say thanks in person.
